Strategy Manager

This role turns strategic priorities into structured analysis, actionable plans, and a disciplined review of progress. You will work closely with executive and business-unit leaders to assess opportunities, test assumptions, identify trade-offs, and keep the company focused on its highest-value outcomes. This is not a presentation-production role — you are here to improve the quality of strategic decisions and help convert them into measurable execution.

What you will do

  • Support the development and refresh of NewEra's corporate strategy, including strategic objectives, priorities, and key choices
  • Translate company ambition into a clear set of strategic initiatives, outcomes, owners, milestones, and resource requirements
  • Assess where NewEra should invest, expand, partner, reposition, or stop, based on evidence and strategic fit
  • Challenge initiatives that lack a clear value proposition, credible assumptions, or accountable ownership
  • Ensure strategic plans reflect capacity, dependencies, risk, and the trade-offs required to deliver them
  • Conduct structured analysis of markets, customers, competitors, business models, and relevant technology shifts
  • Build and test hypotheses using customer evidence, market data, financial analysis, and operational inputs
  • Evaluate new products, partnerships, markets, and business opportunities through clear commercial and strategic criteria
  • Develop scenario analyses and identify leading indicators that could change a strategic decision
  • Distinguish sourced facts from assumptions and document the validation required for material unknowns
  • Build or coordinate business cases for material initiatives, including expected value, cost, capacity, risk, and key assumptions
  • Work with Finance and functional leaders to test financial and operating assumptions and compare competing investments
  • Develop options and recommendations that make trade-offs explicit rather than presenting a single unsupported answer
  • Track expected benefits of approved initiatives and compare realised outcomes against the original case
  • Establish a practical cadence for reviewing strategic initiatives, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcome metrics
  • Work with initiative owners to resolve blockers and escalate decisions that require executive attention
  • Identify underperforming initiatives early and recommend whether to adjust, accelerate, pause, or stop them
  • Capture lessons from completed initiatives and feed them into future planning
  • Prepare decision-ready materials for executive reviews, strategy sessions, and board-level discussions
  • Translate complex analysis into clear choices, implications, recommendations, and decisions needed
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions when priorities, assumptions, or resource demands conflict
  • Ensure strategic objectives are understood consistently by the teams responsible for execution

What we are looking for

  • 6+ years in corporate strategy, management consulting, strategic operations, business planning, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience building business cases, conducting market or competitor analysis, and evaluating strategic options
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to build and challenge models in spreadsheets
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured hypotheses, analysis, and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional planning or decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce concise, decision-ready materials
  • Comfort challenging assumptions, explaining uncertainty, and distinguishing facts from estimates
  • Working proficiency in English for executive communication and documentation

Nice to have

  • Experience in a technology company, scale-up, fintech, SaaS, or AI-first business
  • Experience in annual planning, portfolio management, operating model design, or strategic transformation
  • Experience with pricing, unit economics, market entry, partnerships, or product strategy
  • Experience tracking strategic benefits and post-investment outcomes
  • Management consulting background or relevant strategy training

What you get

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus
  • Full statutory insurance coverage (BHXH, BHYT, BHTN) per Vietnamese labor law
  • Direct access to executive leadership and high-visibility strategic projects
  • Clear career path in Corporate Strategy / Business Development
