NewEra Inc. is looking for a Finance Manager who combines strong technical finance-accounting expertise with an AI-first, hands-on mindset. You will own financial planning, reporting and compliance, act as a true business partner to the CEO and business units, and use AI and automation to make Finance faster and more accurate. This is a Forward Deployed-style role: you work directly with the people who use the processes, build quickly, test, refine, and stay accountable until the solution runs in real life.
What you will do
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models in Excel with fully linked P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Lead annual budgets and rolling forecasts across multiple business lines; track budget vs. actual and explain variances
- Analyze SaaS/platform unit economics, profitability by product, and software capitalization to support pricing and investment decisions
- Oversee management reports and statutory financial statements under VAS, including consolidation for multi-entity structures
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese tax law (VAT, CIT, FCT) and related-party transaction regulations (Decree 132/2020/NĐ-CP)
- Strengthen internal controls, coordinate with auditors and tax authorities, and safeguard data confidentiality
- Understand products and operations to set the right assumptions; support leadership decisions beyond bookkeeping
- Present concise, clear figures and insights to the CEO, shareholders and partners
- Manage cash flow planning and support fundraising, investor and partner reporting
- Apply AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to analysis, modeling, report writing and contract review; always verify outputs and manage accuracy and data-security risks
- Build prototypes with Google Sheets/Apps Script, Python or SQL and no-code/low-code tools to automate recurring finance workflows
- Work directly with process users, iterate quickly, and own solutions until they run in production
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing or Economics
- 7-10 years in finance-accounting, including at least 3 years in a management role (Finance Manager, FP&A Manager, Chief Accountant or equivalent)
- Solid command of VAS, Vietnamese tax law (VAT, CIT, FCT) and related-party transaction rules (Decree 132/2020)
- Proficient in Excel — driver-based models, linked P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, scenario analysis
- Has prepared budgets, management reports and financial statements for a multi-business or consolidated company
- Good command of English — able to read, write reports and present to senior leadership
- Uses AI daily (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) for analysis, modeling, report writing and contract review, with concrete examples of work automated or shortened by AI; writes structured prompts, verifies AI output and understands its limits (errors, data security)
- Able to build prototypes using Google Sheets/Apps Script, basic Python or SQL, and no-code/low-code automation
- Likes working directly in users' processes; builds fast, tests, fixes, and takes ownership until the solution works
- Business-partner thinking; proactive and resilient in a fast-changing environment; clear communicator of numbers; integrity, carefulness and confidentiality
Nice to have
- Experience at technology companies, startups/scale-ups, fintech, payment or retail media; understanding of SaaS, platform models, unit economics and software capitalization
- Experience at a large multi-industry group with consolidation and related-party transactions
- Big 4 (Audit/Advisory) background, or ACCA, CPA or CFA certification
- ERP implementation (Odoo preferred) or participation in AI/automation/digital transformation projects in Finance
- Knowledge of BI (Power BI, Looker), APIs or agent frameworks
